The Psychology Department completed its structuring phase both physically and academically, and commenced undergraduate education with its first students in the Fall semester of 2022-2023. As of the academic year 2023-2024, the department consists of five faculty members with doctoral degrees, two research assistant doctors, and one research assistant. The main aim of the department is to train competent psychologists with a scientific and ethical perspective.

Language of Instruction:

Our department adopts full-time, face-to-face education. Our courses require attendance; there are no distance learning courses.

The main objectives of our department are:

1. To become a department recognized at the universal level that follows current knowledge and developments in psychology.

2. To establish a knowledge-generating, research, and application-oriented interdisciplinary ecosystem.

3. Not to remain indifferent to the problems of individuals and society, but to offer solutions and conduct applications regarding these problems.

4. To provide an education opportunity that captures international qualifications, which fosters basic knowledge of psychology subfields as well as scientific thinking and research skills.

5. To train psychologists who have the ability to transfer acquired knowledge and experience to the application field within ethical principles.

Degree Earned:

Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Graduates of the Psychology program can use the title of psychologist.

Admission and Registration Requirements:

General admission requirements for Turkish and foreign students are applicable to begin the program.

Recognition of Prior Learning:

Recognition of prior formal learning in Turkish higher education institutions is carried out within the scope of the "Regulations on Transition Between Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs, Double Major, Minor, and Transfer of Credits Among Institutions of Higher Education" determined by the Higher Education Council.

Qualification Conditions and Rules:

The student must have passed all the courses in the program, with no grades of FF, DZ, or YZ. In this program, the student must obtain a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and a minimum GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 for graduation. There is no internship requirement for graduation from the department.

Employment Opportunities for Graduates:

Graduates of our department can work as psychologists in both public and private institutions and organizations such as human resources departments, research companies, counseling centers, guidance and research centers, schools, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, special education centers, hospitals, prisons, and juvenile courts.

Transition to Higher Degree Programs:

Candidates who successfully complete undergraduate education can enroll in graduate programs in their own fields or related fields, provided that they obtain valid scores from ALES or equivalent exams and have sufficient proficiency in a foreign language.
