The Psychology Department completed its physical and academic development and welcomed its first undergraduate cohort in the fall semester of the 2022–2023 academic year. As of the 2023–2024 academic year, the department includes five faculty members with doctoral degrees, two research assistant doctors, and one research assistant. The department's primary goal is to train competent psychologists equipped with a strong scientific foundation and ethical awareness.
Language of Instruction:
The department offers full-time, face-to-face education. Course attendance is mandatory, and there are no distance learning courses.
The main objectives of our department are:
- To achieve international recognition by staying current with advancements in psychology
- To foster an interdisciplinary ecosystem focused on generating knowledge, conducting research, and facilitating practical applications
- To address societal and individual challenges through solutions and direct interventions
- To offer an education meeting international standards, emphasizing foundational knowledge in psychology subfields as well as scientific thinking and research skills
- To train psychologists capable of ethically applying their knowledge and experience in professional settings

Degree Awarded:
Students who complete the program are awarded a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Graduates of the Psychology program can use the title of psychologist.

Recognition of Prior Learning:
Recognition of prior formal learning within Turkish higher education institutions follows the Regulations on Transfer Between Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs, Double Major, Minor, and Transfer of Credits Among Institutions of Higher Education, as the Higher Education Council stipulated.
Qualification Conditions and Rules:
The student must have passed all the courses in the program with no grades of FF, DZ, or YZ. In this program, the student must obtain at least 240 ECTS credits and a minimum GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 for graduation. There is no internship requirement for graduation from the department.
Employment Opportunities for Graduates:
Graduates can work as psychologists in public and private sectors, including human resources departments, research companies, counseling centers, guidance and research centers, schools, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, special education centers, hospitals, prisons, and juvenile courts.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs:
Graduates who complete their undergraduate studies with valid ALES or equivalent exam scores and sufficient foreign language proficiency may pursue graduate programs in psychology or related fields.
